Seminary organized a festive Christmas gathering for the students of Laity
Theology in the Sacred Heart Hall at 3:00 PM. The event commenced with a
melodious Christmas hymn, symbolizing the joyful anticipation of Christ's
presence among the attendees. Rev. Fr. Ronald Serrao, the Rector of the
Seminary, delivered a heartfelt Christmas message, emphasizing the profound
meaning of the season. “Christmas is a time of joy, peace, and happiness. It
uplifts our hearts and minds,” he remarked, inspiring the gathering. “May
Christ be born in our hearts, homes, and workplaces,” he added, encouraging
everyone to embrace the spirit of the season.
The celebration
was further enriched by the soulful carol singing of the Sisters from the
Infant Mary Convent, setting a serene and festive tone. The arrival of Santa
Claus brought cheer and excitement, infusing the hall with vibrant energy. The
program featured a series of creative and engaging games, bringing
entertainment and joy to the attendees. The brothers added to the Christmas
cheer with their harmonious carol renditions. Winners of the games were awarded
delightful prizes, presented by Rev. Fr. Alex Kalarikkal, the Director of St.
Joseph Institute of Theology.
The event
concluded with refreshments, including a delectable assortment of
kuswar—traditional Christmas delicacies. This memorable program was
meticulously planned by Rev. Fr. Antony Pinto, the Dean of Theology, in
collaboration with Brothers Rajat, Vinol, Flexon, and Merwin. Brother Joel
served as the master of the ceremony ensuring a smooth and lively flow of
activities.
The celebration
culminated with the exchange of Christmas greetings and heartfelt wishes,
leaving everyone in high spirits as they carried the joy of Christmas into
their hearts and lives.
