From September 23 to 28, 2024, St Joseph's Institute of Theology Jeppu, Mangalore, successfully conducted a course on the Trinity and
Mariology, attracting 16 students who embarked on a profound exploration of
these essential theological themes under the guidance of Rev. Dr Rajesh Melvin
Rosario.
The course featured a blend of formal lectures and
interactive discussions, allowing students to delve into the scriptural
foundations and magisterial teachings that illuminate the understanding of
God's love. Rev. Dr Rosario expertly examined the Nicene Creed, highlighting
its significance in articulating the core tenets of Christian faith.
Throughout the week, participants focused on the Biblical
Foundations, emphasizing the pivotal roles of the Trinity and Mary in Salvation
History, alongside a thorough examination of the historical context of the
Council of Nicaea. This comprehensive approach fostered a deeper connection
with the divine, inspiring students to embody their faith with both conviction
and compassion.
The course not only enriched the students' theological
knowledge but also motivated them to actively live out their beliefs in their
daily lives.
