On September 16th, the
priests ordained in the year 1995 came together to celebrate their 30th
anniversary of the ordination to the priesthood. The Mass was held at 11:30
a.m. in the chapel, with the entire seminary community, coming together to give
thanks to the Lord for these 26 priests who have faithfully served in His
vineyard. Of the 26 priests, 10 were able to attend the celebration in person.
Rev. Fr Michael
Santhumayor was the main celebrant for the Eucharistic celebration, while Fr.
Polachan Kaithottungal from the Ernakulam diocese delivered a inspiring homily.
In his reflection, Fr. Polachan spoke of the seminary years as the golden days
of life and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the seminary and the professors
who played a vital role in their formation. He encouraged the community to
prepare for the challenging mission that lies ahead. During the Mass they
prayed for the four members of their batch who have passed away. Afterward, the
rector extended his greetings to the priests and thanked them for sharing their
joy with the seminary by returning to celebrate this special occasion.
