The Philosophers’ Day celebrations in our esteemed institution commenced with a prayer service on August 11, 2024, at 9:00 PM. Br Derick Mascarenhas, the prefect of the philosophy section, led the prayer service and delivered an inspiring reflection.

On August 12, 2024, the feast day of St John Berchmans – Patron of Philosophers in our seminary was celebrated, beginning with a festive Mass presided over by the main celebrant, Rev. Fr Denzil Lobo. The day’s events continued with a cultural program at 8:30 PM in the Centenary Memorial Hall, where the brothers of the philosophy section showcased their talents through various events. They also conveyed the importance of hope, aligning with the Jubilee Year 2025. Fr Vincent Menezes graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, with Fr. Ronald Serrao rector presided over the gathering. Br Flexon Lobo, the cultural in-charge, expressed gratitude with a vote of thanks.

The day concluded with the reading of the Word of God and final blessings by Bishop Aloysius Paul Dsouza, the Bishop Emeritus of Mangalore Diocese.
